BEYONCE did an interview with Italian Vougue in which she makes some statements that can be seen as a diss????
She says, "With my first album 'Dangerously In Love', I was put against another female artist. Since she released her album around the same time, people said my album won't be publicly accepted. But in the end, my album shined because it had a fresher sound, and had a lot to offer to everyone. It proved to critics and the media that I was not just a bubble-gum pop star. It proved that I have talent and I showcase it with my full potential".
Beyonce's Dangerously In Love was released in June 2003. Ashanti's hit album Chapter II was released one week later. (SOURCE)
