In a recent (magazine) interview, Meagan Good stressed how she was kind of fed up with playing the cute girfriend roles. Well I guess she decided to do something about and in her new movie she's gonna play the cute boyfriend role? Actually she's playing a lesbian but I'm sure she's the dude in the relationship.
I can just smell the Oscar. Here's a synopsis:
Meagan Good will take on the role of a lesbian in her new independent film, Sundays In Fort Green. The movie centers around two sisters desperately trying not to end up like their drug addicted mother. Meagan’s character also struggles with her sexual identity, as well as the best way to come out to her family. Sundays In Fort Green will be the second independent film Meagan has starred in and produced under her own production company, Freedom Bridge Entertainment. (Brown Sista)

When you take that brain, that smile, and that talent, roll them into one woman and place them on display for the world to see, the only words that would describe it is, "GOOD; MEAGAN GOOD!" I am looking forward to see her play a lesbian for more than just the obvious reasons. It will be a good test of her range as an actress and also put her in a position to get those independent film ideas seen and heard by a larger, more mainstream audience.
