TMZ reports that officials have said Paris Hilton was released for "medical reasons" and is currently under house arrest with an ankle bracelet.
Medical reasons?! Since when is treatment for a STD reason enough to get released from jail?
They will not release her "medical reason" due to confidentiality agreements. Her house arrest will go down for 40 days. They say she was not released just reassigned. Once her 40 days of house arrest are up she would have fullfilled her debt to society!
